Front Desk Coordinator
I have worked in the dental field since 1985 and joined the GCO team 2016. From our front desk, I answer the phones, schedule appointments, and help patients and parents with any questions they may have. My days consist of interacting with our patients and their families, and seeing so many beautiful smiles at the end of treatment. I have a lot of fun working with our team—we all help each other to make sure our patients leave happy and smiling!
I’m originally from Avon Lake, OH. I have a grown son and two dogs, Angel and Millie. I’m a big advocate of Paws of Lee County (PAW). I foster dogs and volunteer, so if you are looking for a dog, come see me! I also enjoy paddle boarding, swimming, and riding horses.
I have loved working in the orthodontic field since my senior year in high school. I moved to Florida about six years ago from Columbus, OH with my husband Jeff. We have three grown children and a granddaughter that will arrive in August, 2017. When am not catching up with my children, I enjoy reading, sitting by the pool and doing crafts, and playing with our puppy, Otis.
Clinical Coordinator and Marketing
I have worked in orthodontics for more than 20 years. I enjoy assisting Drs. Laboda and Speas with patients, and making sure each patient’s needs are met. As a clinical supervisor, I work with our Invisalign® patients, starting with their initial diagnostic records through to the delivery of their retainers at the end of treatment. Watching a patient see his or her smile for the first time after the braces are removed is one of the best parts of working at Gulf Coast Orthodontics. I love the personal relationships I develop with our patients and their parents as well.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband Peter. We have two children in college, and a very spoiled Cavalier King Charles puppy named Sadie. We love to travel whenever we get the chance!
My dental career began while I was still in high school. I earned my assisting certification and worked in general dentistry until I took time off to raise my children. When I returned to dentistry, I chose orthodontics, and I love it! I enjoy seeing our patients’ smiles, confidence, and self-esteem change dramatically. It’s a great feeling to know I was part of their transformation. I am so happy to be part of such an amazing team at GCO; it is very clear how passionate Dr. Laboda and Dr. Speas are with helping patients finish with beautiful smiles. We all work together as a team to achieve a common goal, which is to make the patients comfortable and informed during their treatment.
I was born in Wisconsin and relocated to Florida in 2015 with Larry. I have three grown children and a cat named Arlo who has a very playful personality. Larry and I enjoy traveling, diving, kayaking, and fishing. We also like to catch, tag, and release sharks for N.O.A.A. Of course, I am still a Big Green Bay Packers and Cubs fan!
My career in orthodontics has spanned 17 years, during which I have worked in California, Arkansas, Michigan, and now Florida! I work chairside with Dr. Laboda and Dr. Speas, take diagnostic records, and place and remove brackets. I love meeting and getting to know all our patients, and helping them feel comfortable and relaxed at our office. I really enjoy working with everyone at GCO! It is a very fun atmosphere and we all get along very well.
I moved to Florida about a year ago from Michigan with my husband. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog Cubby, running, and working out. I also enjoy traveling with my husband and going to the pool and beach. I love the sunshine!
I help Drs. Laboda and Speas with patient treatment. I also help with all aspects of the lab, including pouring models and making retainers. I always try to be patient and kind to our visitors, explaining the details of treatment to make even the most nervous patient relaxed and reassured. I feel it’s a privilege to help change the way a person feels about the way they smile.
